TIE was established by law no. 13 of the year 1963 and called the Institute of Education as a unit within the Affiliated University of Dar es Salaam with the main responsibility of coordinating the work of providing teacher training in the Affiliated University of Dar es Salaam and the efforts of the Ministry of Education in improving teaching and learning in schools and teacher training colleges. In July 1970, when the Affiliated University of Dar es Salaam was upgraded to an independent university, the Institute of Education continued to be a Unit within the university until 1975, when it was transferred to the Ministry of Education and Culture as an independent institution created by the law of Parliament no. 13 of the year 1975. In 1987, the change of law no. 4 changed the Institute of Education to the Institute of Curriculum Development without changing its basic role. This was due to the institution engaging in the work of designing and developing curricula for various levels of education. The institution was renamed as the Tanzania Education Institute (TIE) by Parliament Act No. 5 of the year 1993. This change was due to the previous name of the Institute for Curriculum Development not reflecting the broader responsibility of the institution. In July 2009, TIE was given the status of being a non-university institution of higher education that provides training managed by the Tanzania Technical Education Authority - NACTE with the responsibility of providing training in the field of Innovation and Curriculum Development. The basic functions of TIE are: 1. Designing and developing Curricula at the levels of primary education, primary education, secondary education and teacher training colleges 2. Provide training to trainee and in-service teachers to bring efficiency and better results to curriculum implementation. 3. Provide and review the quality assurance of education regarding teaching methods, learning objectives and standards of teaching and learning tools. 4. Providing expert advice to the government through the Ministry and education stakeholders aimed at improving education at various levels.TIE BOOKS ELIMU YA AWALI | PRE-PRIMARY TIE BOOKS PRE-PRIMARY AND PRIMARY - PDF DOWNLOAD Water Institute (WI) Online Application Mwongozo Kwa Walimu wa Kujitolea Mwongozo Kwa Walimu wa Kujitolea Tangazo la Nafasi za Kujiunga na Vyuo vya Ualimu kwa Waliomaliza Form 4 Cutoff Points Combinations Selection Form Five Special Schools na Shule za Kawaida 2023 Form Five Second Selection 2023 Joining Instructions of Teachers Colleges 2023 | Joining Instructions Vyuo Vyote vya Ualimu Joining instructions Korogwe TC 2023/2024 | Chuo Cha Ualimu Korogwe Joining Instructions Tarime TC 2023/2024 | Chuo Cha Ualimu Tarime Joining Instructions Tarime TC 2023/2024 | Chuo Cha Ualimu Tarime Degree Programmes Offered at Mwalimu Nyerere Memorial Academy (MNMA) Maelekezo Mhimu Kwa Wanafunzi Wote Waliochaguliwa Form Five na Vyuo 2023/2024 Majina Selection Form 5 na Vyuo 2023/2024 PDF Kubadili Combination 2023/2024 Sel Form (Self Form) Tarehe ya Kuripoti Waajiriwa Wapya Ualimu na Afya 2023/2024 59 Vacant Posts TANROADS List of all registered Universities/Institutions to admit Bachelor degree Students in Tanzania 2023/2024 List of all registered Universities/Institutions to admit Bachelor’s degree Students in Tanzania 2023/2024 Joining Instructions Form Five 2023/2024 - All Regions Joining Instructions Form Five 2023/2024 - All Regions Waliochaguliwa Form Five 2023 Mikoa Yote Tanzania
